AARP Community Challenge Grant

The MPO received a Community Challenge Grant to install semi-permanent projects at three locations in Manhattan to improve pedestrian safety. Two along the Hudson Trail, at Londonery and Englewood, and at the intersection of Juliette & Pierre near Manhattan Catholic School.

The MPO is currently engaged in exciting projects across portions of Geary, Pottawatomie, and Riley Counties. These projects contribute to our goal of providing transportation planning and programming services across the region.

Trails Map & Plan



This interactive map is hosted by ArcGIS Online and serves as a regional hub for identifying our future and existing trail network.  Working with the Flint Hills Regional Council, we have also included information about regional riverfront opportunities.



Long-Range Plan

Connect 2040 is the guiding document for the future of our region’s multi-modal transportation system. It’s the blueprint for how we can achieve our vision to Enhance Mobility, Strengthen Communities, and Generate Prosperity.
