Safe Routes to School Plan
The MPO will be working with the City of St. George and School District to develop the first Safe Routes to School Plan for St. George Elementary,

In a related project, the MPO is working with the City to address parking and pedestrian safety along 1st Street. Through a series of one-week long demonstration projects, 1st Street will become safer and more efficient.
The 6 Es of SRTS Plans
Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a federally-funded program that aims to make walking and biking to school safer for children. To ensure successful assessment and implementation of the SRTS Plans, there are five areas of focus, called the "6 Es", included in each plan.
