MPO awarded 2 grants by KDOT
The Flint Hills MPO applied for and received funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for two projects. The first, a Bluetooth study to collect traffic information to be used primarily for an Origin and Destination Study for the Marlatt/Junietta Extension. This information will also be used by the MPO for performance monitoring and updating the travel demand model. The second project is being called a Multimodal Integration Plan. This would include a realignment study for Manhattan's fixed-route transit system, the development of a regional bicycle and pedestrian master plan and identifying opporuntities to link all modes of transportation together.
